Children’s Electric Volvo Car
Internship project
One of many highlights of my time as an intern at Volvo was a creative side-project that I got to work on together with Hennie Gustafsson: a scaled-down electric Volvo car for children, based on one of Volvo’s existing models!
We were presented with an existing simple 3D model, where our task was to refine the design with fillets and surface details. But after a change of direction of the project from the original car designer, we were given the exciting challenge of rebuilding the entire model from scratch to better reflect the real vehicle.
This exercise taught us much about how to work efficiently as a team under time pressure, as well as how to balance design with technical input. It was a fun and valuable learning experience from start to finish.
